Review Verdict in One Minute#
Storm Proxies is not one interchangeable pool. Its current public site separates a residential rotating product billed by ports, a shared reverse-rotating product billed by simultaneous threads, and private dedicated US proxies billed by IP count. The products have different rotation, location, authentication, and refund rules. A useful review must identify which one it is reviewing.
Storm deserves a pilot when HTTP(S), unlimited-bandwidth wording, a port or thread allowance, fixed rotation choices, or inexpensive fixed US datacenter addresses match the workload. It is a poor fit when SOCKS is mandatory, username authentication is required for the residential rotating product, fine city or ASN targeting is required, or a pay-per-GB model is preferred.
This is a desk review, not a performance score. Databay sells competing proxies. The Databay Research Team checked Storm's official public pages on August 23, 2026 but did not purchase and benchmark an account. Prices, pools, speed, success, support, and refund outcomes remain provider claims or buyer-test questions. Storm's pages contain some dated design and inconsistent aggregate language, so the live member area and checkout should control a purchase.

Storm's comparison page describes its per-request reverse gateway as a mixture while the timed reverse gateways use datacenter IPs, and describes the residential product separately as residential. Do not assume every “rotating” Storm hostname has the same network origin. Observe the ASN and network classification of the actual exit used by the selected product.
The homepage FAQ says Storm sells HTTP(S) proxies and does not sell SOCKS proxies. That is a clear rejection rule for software that requires SOCKS5.
Residential Rotating Plan: Ports and Five-Minute Exits#
Storm's residential product page publishes a port-based monthly service, unlimited bandwidth, a residential pool, USA or EU choice, and a five-minute rotation interval. Each package is limited to one authorized source IP and the page says there is no username/password option for this product. A gateway port can handle a stated number of threads, but a port is not a dedicated residential address.
On the review date, the public page displayed a one-port entry at $19 per month, five ports at $50 per month, and larger port packages. The five-port plan was the smallest standard card on the page and was the plan explicitly associated with the 24-hour money-back wording. These are dated display observations, not a quote; confirm the actual smallest eligible package, renewal, tax, port thread cap, and checkout total.
This product may suit a continuously running HTTP workload where transferred bytes would make per-GB billing expensive and five-minute rotation is acceptable. It does not fit a flow that needs a new IP per request, a session longer than five minutes, credentials from a changing cloud-worker IP, or location selection beyond the advertised regional choices.
Reverse Rotating Plan: Threads and Three Gateways#
The reverse rotating page exposes three behaviors: a random exit for each HTTP request, a gateway whose exit changes every three minutes, and another whose exit changes every fifteen minutes. Plans are capped by simultaneous connections and by the number of source IPs allowed to access the service. The page describes the pool as shared.
On August 23, 2026, the page displayed a small 10-thread option at $14 per month and larger cards such as 40 threads at $39. It advertised unlimited bandwidth and four broad location selections. The page's displayed pool counts should be read only as claims for this named product and date; they are not comparable with the residential page's count or the number of unique exits a buyer will observe during one test.
Per-request rotation is affected by HTTP connection reuse. If a client keeps one proxy connection alive, verify whether “each HTTP request” actually produces the expected sequence. For timed routes, measure whether a multi-step workflow completes before rotation. A thread allowance is concurrency, not requests per second, success rate, or permission to exceed a destination's rate limit.
Dedicated Plan: Fixed US Datacenter Addresses#
Storm's dedicated proxy page describes fixed private USA datacenter addresses, unlimited bandwidth, 100 concurrent threads, and either source-IP or username/password authentication. It says the addresses are private to the buyer rather than shared with other Storm customers.
The public page displayed five proxies for $10 per month on the review date, with declining unit prices on larger packages and separate six-month billing cards. It advertised three US locations. Verify the allocated subnet diversity, actual cities, replacement policy, renewal, whether the address remains stable across billing periods, and the precise refund-eligible package at checkout.
This is the clearest Storm option when a compatible workload needs a small set of stable HTTP(S) US datacenter IPs. It is not a residential route, not a global location product, and not a rotating pool. Authentication, Protocol, and Deployment Limits#
Protocol and authentication are where an inexpensive plan can become unusable. Storm's homepage says HTTP(S) only. The residential rotating page says IP authentication only and limits a package to one access IP. That can fit a server with stable egress, but it is awkward for laptops, autoscaling workers, or cloud jobs whose outbound address changes. The dedicated page offers either source-IP or username/password authentication.

Do not assume a feature on the dedicated page exists on residential or reverse rotating service. Save the product-specific order page and support answer with the deployment record.
Refund and Acceptable-Use Terms Need a Pre-Test Check#
Storm's product pages repeatedly advertise a 24-hour money-back period, but their detailed FAQ narrows it: the refund is available on the smallest or cheapest package in a product group, while larger packages are not refundable. The residential page specifically ties its guarantee to the smallest standard residential plan shown. Identify the eligible SKU and capture the purchase time before testing.
Twenty-four hours is short for a representative multi-region test, so prepare the script, validation, rate budget, and stop conditions before payment. Start with the eligible small package, stay below any stated limit, and contact support inside the window if the published fit is not met. Do not present the guarantee as a no-conditions trial.
Storm's official help page prohibits reselling its proxies, hacking, torrents, and illegal activity. Databay's Acceptable Use Policy likewise applies to its service. A proxy subscription never supplies destination authorization; follow source terms and approved APIs, and stop on explicit controls.

Storm may win when compatible unlimited-bandwidth wording, fixed US IPs, or a simple port/thread budget matters. Databay may win when SOCKS5, credentials from changing workers, multiple rotating network classes, one-time traffic, or fine residential location requests matter. Reject Databay when permanence is required; reject Storm when its product-specific protocol, auth, or location boundary fails the requirement.
Run the Review Storm's Marketing Cannot Run for You#
Purchase only the correct product and test the real authorized task. Record client version, protocol, source IP, location choice, rotation gateway, concurrency, timeout, retry cap, request mix, response validator, and time window. Do not average different Storm product families together.

Do not award a speed, success, or anonymity score from an IP-check page. A valid review needs the destination and acceptance method the buyer actually cares about.
Who Should Shortlist Storm Proxies#
Shortlist Storm for a small compatible HTTP(S) pilot when its residential five-minute ports, reverse rotation gateways, or fixed private US datacenter addresses match the job and the source-IP restrictions are manageable. Its published entry prices make it easy to define a bounded test, but verify the live checkout and refund SKU first.
Shortlist another provider when SOCKS5, fine geo or ASN targeting, username authentication on residential traffic, mobile proxies, pay-as-you-go bytes, or a different network class is mandatory. Consider Databay for a controlled rotating-pool pilot when those are the mismatch; consider the broader market rather than assuming one alternative fits everything.
Shortlist neither when an official API, export, licensed feed, or direct route already answers the task. A proxy changes the network origin; it does not make prohibited automation or unauthorized access acceptable.
