Privacy Policy

On this page
WATTENNE INTERNATIONAL LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit databay.com (the “Site”) and use our proxy services, APIs, and dashboard (collectively, the “Services”).
We operate under a principle of Data Minimization. We only collect the absolute minimum amount of data necessary to provide our Services, process payments, and prevent technical abuse (such as fraud or DDoS attacks).
1. Information We Do NOT Collect (Zero Payload Logging)
WE DO NOT INSPECT, LOG, STORE, OR MONITOR THE PAYLOAD DATA OF USER TRAFFIC.
When you use our Proxy Services, we have no access to and do not store:
The content of the websites you visit.
The data you transmit (POST data, form bodies, files, messages).
Your usernames, passwords, or API keys sent to third-party destinations.
The specific URLs (paths, query parameters) beyond the destination hostname.
For proxy traffic, we provide routing infrastructure at your direction. We separately process account, authentication, billing, security, abuse-prevention, support, analytics, and legal-compliance data as described below. We are therefore not acting only as a passive conduit for every category of personal data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two distinct categories: Account Information (via the Dashboard/Site) and Operational Metadata (via the Proxy Service).
2.1. Account & Dashboard Information
When you register for an account, purchase services, or interact with our dashboard, we collect:
Identity Data: First name and last name.
Contact Data: Email address.
Technical Access Data: The IP address used to log in to the dashboard and your User-Agent string.
Activity Logs: Actions performed within the dashboard (e.g., plan purchases, API key generation, settings changes) for security auditing.
Billing Information: Billing address and payment history. Note: We do not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on our servers.
2.2. Proxy Service Operational Metadata
To maintain network performance, meter bandwidth usage, and ensure security (preventing DDoS and abuse), we automatically log strictly limited metadata when you connect to our proxy nodes:
Source IP Address: The IP address from which you initiate the connection to our proxy servers.
Connection Counters: The number of connections established to specific destination domains (e.g., 50 connections to
example.com).Bandwidth Usage: The total amount of data uploaded and downloaded (in bytes) for billing purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:
Service Provision: To authenticate your access, route your traffic, and manage your account.
Billing: To calculate bandwidth consumption and process payments.
Security & Abuse Prevention: To detect and mitigate fraudulent activity, botnets, DDoS attacks, and violations of our Terms of Use.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable legal obligations, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Communication: To send you transactional emails (receipts, password resets) or critical service updates.
4. Third-Party Data Processors
We use trusted third-party service providers to handle payments and identity verification. We transmit necessary customer information to these providers, but we do not store sensitive financial data (like full credit card numbers) or sensitive ID documents on our own infrastructure.

5. Disclosure of Information to Law Enforcement
We are committed to user privacy, but we must comply with valid legal processes.
Standard for Disclosure: We will only disclose customer information if compelled by a valid court order, subpoena, or search warrant issued by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Scope of Disclosure: We state that we do not store proxy payload content as part of ordinary service operation, so we ordinarily would not have stored payload content to disclose. We may preserve or disclose records in our possession when legally required or permitted. The categories we state that we retain include account information and limited operational metadata described in Section 2.
Notification: Unless prohibited by law (e.g., a gag order), we will attempt to notify the affected user before disclosing data to give them an opportunity to seek legal remedies.
6. International Data Transfers
WATTENNE INTERNATIONAL LLC is a US-based entity managing a global infrastructure. Your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence.
Your data may be processed in jurisdictions whose laws differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or safeguard, we intend to use the mechanism appropriate to the transfer and service provider. Contact privacy@databay.com to request information about the safeguard applicable to your data; this public policy does not identify every transfer, recipient country, or executed mechanism.
7. Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. We extend these rights to all our users globally where technically feasible.
Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You may request that we delete your account and personal data, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain financial/transaction records for tax and legal compliance.
Right to Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@databay.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Dashboard may use cookies or storage necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and service operation. When configured, the public marketing Site also loads Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity for audience, performance, and interaction analytics. Those services may use cookies or similar storage and receive device, browser, page, interaction, network, and approximate-location data under their respective terms.
Essential Technologies: These support login, security, navigation, preferences, and requested functionality.
Analytics Technologies: The marketing Site can use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and a Core Web Vitals reporter. Databay does not represent those technologies as strictly necessary. Their availability and cookie behavior can change with configuration and provider updates.
Advertising: This repository does not configure a behavioral-advertising pixel. Analytics providers may process data for their own documented purposes; review their current privacy documentation and available controls.
You can use browser controls to delete or block cookies, although blocking necessary storage may prevent login or Dashboard functions. The current marketing frontend does not include a repository-verifiable regional consent manager; this is a disclosed implementation gap that should be reviewed before analytics is enabled in jurisdictions requiring prior consent.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:
Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account plus the duration required by tax and legal statutes (typically 5-7 years for financial records).
Operational Metadata: Retained under Databay's internal operational, security, billing, dispute, and legal schedules, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required. This public policy does not currently state a fixed duration for this category; contact privacy@databay.com for the schedule applicable to your data.
10. Security
We state that we use administrative, technical, and physical measures intended to protect personal information, including TLS for supported data in transit and access controls. This public page does not provide an independent certification, audit report, or guarantee of security. No internet transmission or storage system is risk-free.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If we learn that we processed a child's data in a way not permitted by applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise address it, subject to legal preservation duties.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Dashboard. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the terms.
